New York State Association of Black Puerto Rican Hispanic and Asian Legislatives, (The Association) is pleased to announce our 53rd Annual Legislative Conference will be back in person. Our conference mission is to engage New State residents of color into a dialogue about issues and policies that have an impact on their daily lives and their communities. In the spirit of our theme "Ai Renaissance...Navigating our Future", our Workshop Forums taking place throughout Saturday during the Conference will focus on issues including Health Care inequities, Economics & Impact of the Marijuana Industry, Housing Insecurities, Criminal Justice Reform, Enhancing Equitable Distribution of Wealth, Closing Disparities within the Educational System, Breaking Glass ceilings that disrupt Diversity & Inclusion within the Work Force and many more engaging topics. The 2023 Panamanian Grand Marshall (Community Service) and Caribbean a Co founder and VP of Operations for the American Chamber of Commerce & Industry died on January 14, 2024. Ana was indispensable in her services to dual national Caribbeans, South American and business developers and owners in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens. Purlie Victorius, a play starring Leslie Odom, Jr., written by Ossie Davis and directed by Kenny Leon revisited Broadway. Purlie Victorius is described as a "non-Confederate Romp through the cotton patch with history, humor, intellectual reflections of American history through the dreams of a would-be Southern Preacher.
